Espana

On 7th July, 2016 Scott, Coco and I arrived in Spain to begin our first 6 months of living in Europe.

We flew out of JFK airport in NY (I will cover the East Coast tour fun later...) on Iberia Airlines. As we are shown to our seats, I was in complete shock because I guess I didn't realize what "business class" meant. It's freaking 1st class and a first for me!!! As we are seated in these comfortable seats with tons of compartments, silk-like pillows and fully reclining seats, we are treated like royalty....the little pouches we were given had high class products like L'Occitane lotion, lip balm, cleansing cloths along with tootbrush/toothpaste, plane socks and so much more! We get whatever wine or drink we want (and quickly!). Oh and they have espresso. Yes, ESPRESSO! Scott tells me to act normal, as if I'm used to this. Ha! I got the best sleep ever on this flight which was about 6 hours to Madrid and anyone who knows me knows I struggle with insomnia and certainly cannot sleep on a plane. Coco and Scott knocked out right away. Scott, I apologize now for the photo but it really demonstrates the comfort here....

We arrive in Madrid and have to go through customs before boarding our 1 hour flight to Alicante. I was so nervous about Coco considering the process we had to go through to get her here. Well, they didn't even ask about her. I had a harder time in the US (again, I'll cover that later).

Our flight to Alicante was less than 1 hour and upon landing, we got a taxi to take us to El Campello which is just about 20 minutes away.

Scott had to walk to the rental office to get our keys and info for our new home at the La Isletta II building. We didnt realize the office wasnt part of the building. So, after his long walk there and back, we got up to our apartment and just smiled. It's tiny but perfect!

The way im going to do this blogging thing will be possible daily posts and separate out the restaurants, shopping, sites, etc...
